Pete Stefani began working for a local home builder as a junior in high school. His initial responsibilities included sweeping out construction debris and running errands but he quickly learned the ins and outs of general contracting from all the trades involved in building homes. Stefani knew early on he wanted to pursue a career as a custom home builder. Armed with his early experience and shortly after graduating from Benedictine University in 1986 with a business degree, Pete started King’s Court Builders. His early experience contributed to his wealth of knowledge on how homes should be built and what made homeowners happy.
Pete’s business philosophy is simple and continues today. “My reputation is dependent on every single home that I build. I take that very seriously.”
Homebuilding is a very complicated process that relies on the work of others. “What I enjoy most is the coordination and cooperation of our trade partners and staff to make the process as smooth as possible for our homebuyers,” says Stefani.
“I believe learning from the ground up was important; my early experience has paid off tremendously. I’ve incorporated a lot of what I learned from the tradesmen with the quality, value, and service of our company and am proud to have my name behind King’s Court Builders.“
Quality is everything but so is service. Stefani put so much emphasis on it that early in the King’s Court years, Pete initiated the first two-year builder warranty in the custom home building market. King’s Court Builders prides itself on being available before, during and after your home is complete.
